The glory days of 2002 are long gone for Tampa Bay Buccaneers fans, who have seen their team fail time and time again since then. However, this may surprise a lot of people, but come December, the Bucs could definitely find themselves in the middle of the playoff hunt. Expect potential fantasy stars such as QB Jameis Winston, RB Doug Martin and WR Mike Evans to lead the way.

After a near abysmal start to his NFL career, Winston showed that he may just live up to the hype down the stretch last season, scoring an impressive 20-or-more fantasy points in 6 of his last 11 games. He hopes to carry on where he left off, and keeps the Bucs offence hot in 2015. Winston is a popular sleeper pick, and for good reason, as he could be well on his way to becoming a star in the NFL.

At the RB position, the Bucs have Doug Martin as their clearcut starter, after not allowing him to leave as a free agent in the offseason. Martin is someone who can do a lot of good, and a lot of bad, for anyones fantasy team, which always makes him a bit of a risky pick. The Bucs are clearly baking on him doing a lot of good, but he may not be worth the same risk for fantasy owners, at least in the early rounds. Martin could be a bust and warrants a bit of a later-round pick (outside of the top 3). Charles Sims has also shown potential in the past, playing behind Martin the past 2 years. He will still get some touches and is worthy a handcuff, as he could take over at any point if things go south with Martin.

Tampa Bay has 2 very viable options at WR, both of which are coming off down years, in Mike Evans and Vincent Jackson. Evans still put up over 1,200 yards receiving last season, and for that to be considered a down year, really shows how good this kid can be. Veteran Vincent Jackson also seems to be past his prime, but could see success under a more experienced and confident Jameis Winston (Evans will benefit from the same). Both should improve on last years campaigns and are worthy of being drafted.

While TE Austin Seferian-Jenkins has never really had an impressive NFL season, this may be his year. As i said earlier, Winston is emerging as a legitimate threat at QB, which bids well for a good pass-catching TE like Seferian-Jenkins. The aging Vincent Jackson also bodes well for him, as he could become Winston’s second favourite option by year’s end. He is worth taking a risk on deep in most fantasy drafts.

Tampa Bay’s D/ST is nothing to write home about, and neither is there choker of a kicker (rookie Roberto Aguayo).
